Product is the leadership I expected as a tech lead/principal

This is similar to why & how I moved into product, firstly the “ticket-chopping folks” (which I had somewhat been previously anyway) and then true product management.

Of course, 5 years later I was burnt out and hated my job and very grateful to move back to software engineering … but there were lots of other factors there.
